Street Team

Street Team is a group of Saint Vincent de Paul parishioners who are taking the Gospel outside the perimeter of our church grounds.  This may involve simply handing out invitations at gatherings in the city, offering to pray or chat with guests coming to or from the Haunted Castle, or inviting and gathering prayer intentions door to door in our parish boundaries.

Members of our Street Team are each trained and equipped to engage without confrontation in a low-key and friendly manner.  Those with the charism of evangelism are particularly invited to join us.  Encouragement, Hospitality, Intercessory Prayer, Healing, and Prophecy are also fitting charisms for this ministry.  

Street Team is an attempt to live the Scripture from Saint Paul's Letter of the Romans (10:13-15):

For 'everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'  But how can they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach?  And how can people preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who bring [the] good news!'
