Preparing for Confirmation in a homeschool environment takes commitment. Our homeschool curriculum option is reserved for families who are typically dedicate homeschool households. This refers to the families who teach homeschool at home as their regular school curriculum. Families who complete their Confirmation preparation in a homeschool setting are more than welcome, in fact, they are encouraged to attend the REfuel/ Edge and Night of Light nights in addition to their homeschool schedule. This will give you and your family opportunities to share your questions, fears, and excitement with other families who are growing in the same way.
Confirmation preparation is a two-year commitment (7th and 8th grade). It is about deepening our relationship with Christ through a variety of ways: sharing our faith journey with peers in community, being prepared to know our mission, and inspired to live that out. It is our goal that through REfuel our candidates will have a variety of opportunities to be prepared most fully for Confirmation. The Alive in Christ program is the diocesan approved curriculum. Any other curriculum will need to be sent in to our MSM office for approval.
