Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.  The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.  There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions.  A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes.  Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.  Two AA Support Groups meet at St. Vincent’s – one is an open meeting for women only.   More Information.

A.D.O.P.T.  (Always Depending on [God's] Plan Together)

A.D.O.P.T. is a community of families that share in adoption experiences.  Monthly meetings provide an environment for parents and children to interact, share experiences and celebrate the families God has given us.  A.D.O.P.T. also serves as a resource and network to couples contemplating adoption.


If you are going through the annulment process or are thinking about it, help and support are available.  Your questions and concerns will be addressed.


The Bereavement Support Group helps individuals who have experienced a loss to understand the process of grief and mourning, normalize feelings, and facilitate the healing process in a Catholic setting.  Our group provides a safe place to express feelings and share experiences by offering companionship for the journey of grief.  In a time of loss, it is important to know that there is a place where you can be with others who understand your pain.  Support group sessions meet for seven weeks.  Your loss need not be recent for the sessions to be helpful.  Ideal ministry if you have the charisms of Mercy, Encouragement, Healing, Faith, Hospitality, Knowledge and Service.

BOOTS ON THE GROUND (St. Henry Parish)

If you would like to participate in service activities to help St. Henry Parish in Fort Wayne (one of our "twinned" parishes), please contact Nick and his team.  Activities include helping to gather truckloads of gently used items for their Thrift Shoppe at different times of the year, assisting them with sorting and selling items at the Thrift Shoppe, helping with their Community Garden project, and doing work in the neighborhoods.  Ideal ministry if you have the charisms of Service, Encouragement, Administration and Craftsmanship.


BIP is made up of individuals from different parishes who want to help their loved ones and others with special needs feel part of their parish communities.  We continue to grow and welcome anyone who wants to be part of our efforts.  We are committed to supporting our pastors, parish staffs, parishioners, and parents as we work together and towards building faith communities where every person feels a sense of belonging.  Through prayer, support, advocacy and catechesis, we strive to be inclusive of all individuals with disabilities or special needs and help them know that they are welcomed, accepted and necessary in contributing their gifts to our parish life.  More Information.


Cancer Support Ministry is a monthly gathering for all who are currently or have been affected by cancer.  These meetings offer some knowledge and information, as well as encouragement for dealing with life’s circumstance. 


Sound Catholic counselors are available to parishioners seeking help and/or support for personal or family difficulties.  The cost for these services will be determined on an individual basis and confidentiality will be strictly maintained.  Call the Parish Office for contact information, 489-3537 x 3.

*COURAGE / EnCOURAGE  (same sex attraction)

Courage is a Diocesan ministry for those individuals who struggle with same sex attraction and seek to live chaste lives in accordance with God’s will.  EnCourage is for family members who want to fully support those men and women.  This local chapter is sponsored by the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend and is facilitated by Fr. Francis Chukwuma and the diocesan Office of Family Life.  More Information.


Divine Mercy Ministry is a Catholic support group devoted to the healing of all women suffering from the wound of abortion.  Locations and times of meetings are confidential due to the personal nature of this ministry.  Visit  For more information, click here.


The parish of St. Charles Borromeo (4916 Trier Road) hosts the Divorced/Separated meetings in their Community Room (located off of the Gathering Space of the Church).  


These compassionate people assist with serving at the Funeral Luncheon for the family members and friends of the deceased.  Positions are also available to prepare desserts, make telephone calls for desserts or as a Team Coordinator for one or two months per year.  This is a Corporal Work of Mercy.  Ideal ministry if you have the charisms of Service, Encouragement, Helps and Mercy.


St. Vincent de Paul Parish assists other parishes both locally and internationally through our parish tithe.  Additionally, the parish hosts an annual medical and dental mission trip to our sister Parish in Honduras.  We need help in planning, raising funds and attending a mission trip.  Ideal ministry if you have the charisms of Leadership, Administration, Evangelization, Helps, Service, Mercy and Teaching.

INNER CITY HOPE CORP.  (Miss Virginia)

Monthly donations of food are accepted during all Masses on the last Sunday of each month for Miss Virginia’s Ministry to feed the poor in the inner city.  Please drop off your donations at the SVDP Society box near the west entrance of the church.


Overeaters Anonymous is a Fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience, strength, and hope, are recovering from compulsive eating.  We welcome everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively.  There are no dues or fees for members; we are self-supporting through our own contributions, neither soliciting nor accepting outside donations.  OA is not affiliated with any public or private organization, political movement, ideology, or religious doctrine; we take no position on outside issues.  Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive eating and compulsive food behaviors and to carry the message of recovery through the Twelve Steps of OA to those who still suffer.

*PROJECT RACHEL  (Healing from Abortion)

Project Rachel is a Catholic support group ministry run by the Diocese which is devoted to post abortive healing.  Locations and times of meetings are confidential due to the personal nature of this ministry.  Confidential Phone Line is 1-855-722-4354.

S-Anon is a local chapter support group for family members of those suffering from addiction to pornography.

The Saint Augustine Men’s Group, a diocesan ministry, with chapters in Fort Wayne and South Bend, seeks to free men from the shackles of pornography and sexual sin to live according to God’s plan of chastity.  For information, email

SAFE HARBOR  (widows)

Safe Harbor is a widow support group which meets the second Friday of the month, offering support and friendship for women who have lost their spouse.


Teaching the Way of Love is a 2-step program, the first being “Embrace Parenthood” (which addresses parenting for 4-11 year olds).  The series teaches the eight foundations of good Catholic parenting.  It is intended for all parents, but especially for parents of younger children.  Segments run in a series and enrollment occurs a few times a year. Unbound Ministry is a safe, loving, simple, and reproductive prayer model that addresses areas of pain, sin, and weakness and leads us to lay claim to the freedom that is ours through our baptism.  It helps us personally and helps us help others to move beyond the spiritual obstacles that prevent us from moving forward in our relationship with Jesus Christ and with those He has placed in our lives.  Ideal ministry if you have the charisms of Encouragement, Faith, Discernment of Spirits, Healing, Intercessory Prayer and Wisdom.  Email
