Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Communion assist at parish liturgies by distributing Holy Communion during Mass. Ministers also assist with distribution of Holy Communion to the homebound and those who are in hospitals or institutions.
The Extraordinary Minister should be a practicing Catholic, attending Mass every Sunday and on Holy Days of Obligation. They should have a love for the Lord and the Church, striving to grow in holiness and live a good moral life. If married, the Extraordinary Minister should strive to be a faithful spouse and good parent. The marriage must be blessed by the Church. Extraordinary Ministers may nominate themselves or be nominated by contacting the Church Office at 489-3537. A training session is required, and there is an annual day of renewal, required by the Diocese.
